Impex Records pays tribute to this audiophile classic with the ultimate reissue

Label owner Abey Fonn has given "Famous Blue Raincoat" a first-class treatment that will also be its last: With Bernie Grundman crafting the lacquer cut for this deluxe box set of three 1STEP LPs, the album's master tapes will forever return to Jennifer Warne's personal archive

The relationship of trust between Impex producer Fonn and artist Warnes is based on numerous releases over the past few years, including the first 45 LP box set of "Famous Blue Raincoat," the remasters of "The Well" and "The Hunter," and her latest album, "Another Time, Another Place"

Each of these releases is highly regarded by critics and fans, and were done in consultation with the albums' original production team, C. Roscoe Beck and Bernie Grundman

This one-step LP box set is based on the first generation analog "slave" master tapes that Bernie Grundman processed on BG Mastering's tube cutting machine

Numerous test pressings were made in a meticulous process to bring out even the finest details

The LPs are pressed on VR-900 super vinyl at RTI
