The "King" made one of the most impressive comebacks in music history with "From Elvis In Memphis: After 14 years in film and show business, Presley returned to his roots in the city of his youth, Memphis, in 1969
There, after years of soundtrack work, he returned to his musical best as a solo artist and recorded perhaps his most mature and emotional album, bursting with great songs like "Long Black Limousine" or the classic "In The Ghetto"
Many fans celebrate "From Elvis In Memphis" as his masterpiece, reminiscent of the "good old" Sun Records recordings from the 50s
Peppered with rhythmic country, gospel, pop, R&B and blues, the album was voted one of the 500 best of all time by Rolling Stone, and not for nothing
Even the original recordings were praised for their natural and open sound, which comes across even warmer and more intense thanks to a successful remastering
Presley's vocal performance (and strongly supported by the "Memphis Boys" in the background) is celebrated as the best of his career and gets an honorable stage with this hybrid SACD
